My New Office

We're moving!

Since there are many problems with the old offie so we decide to move to this new place.

What's funny is ... it's not far from the old place... just next "soi".
It's bigger, looking better and no one can close the toilet (that's another story).

When we're done moving, I'll show you the picture.

But now, I'm so tired. I have to sleep!

Bye.

Last night

I had a show last night with my band.
It's ... well, not bad. We had lots of fun.
but I think I was not at my peak of feeling.

Maybe because of the drum I played was too old.
or maybe it was me that too old.

Goodbye Blue Sky

Goodbye Blue Sky

"Look mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky"

Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?

Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
The flames are all gone, but the pain lingers on.

Goodbye, blue sky Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

Knowledge-driven organization

I'm reading
"Building a Knowledge-Driven Organization"
by Robert H. Buckman

...............................................................

3 stages of history.

1. Product was king. Having the latest and newest products and programs was what gave a company an edge. Companies differentiated themselves on products; they were what we now call product-driven organizations.

2. Something new entered the marketplace, the concept of bids and sole sourcing. Having the newest products became less important than having the best cost structure, pricing, and breadth of product line. Companies had to go from producing what they were good at to producing (or at least being able to deliver) everything their customers needed. In many cases that meant picking up the product line from dozens of other suppliers. The market-driven scramble was on.

3. Eventually, we ran out of ways to bolster margins by cost savings on the actual products. The industry’s survivors were all at rock bottom together and all selling each other’s output and the world had to find another way to differentiate among them.

---> When you can’t be cheaper or more comprehensive than your competition, you have to be smarter. What you know and how well you can use your knowledge become crucial to success and even survival: the marketplace is no longer product-driven or market-driven; it’s knowledge-driven.

.......................................................................

I think now our company is something around product-driven and market-driven.

I'll look into applying something about knowledge sharing to make my organization more dynamic. I'll show you my plan next time.

A Coup?? In this age?

Can you believe it?
It has been fifteen year since last time... I was a kid then...

I'll update the blog when I know more about it.

Who would of thought it!

Switch off those computer screens!!
They use 70% of the energy of the machine
and if its sitting idle for more than a few minutes its better to switch off then leave it on. And screen savers dont save they consume as much energy as anything else!

little things ...maybe we should just care a bit ...

IS WINDOWS A VIRUS?

No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:

They replicate quickly. (Okay, Windows does that)

Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so. (Okay, Windows does that)

Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk. (Okay, Windows does that, too)

Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. (Sigh... Windows does that, too)

Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow and the user will buy new hardware. (Yup, that's with Windows, too)

Until now it seems, Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences:
Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.

So, Windows is *not* a virus!

Almost finish!!!

Another song...

Somewhere over the rainbow :)

have a colorful day!

Someday

90 miles outside chicago
Cant stop drivingI dont know why
So many questionsI need an answer
Two years laterYoure still on my mind

Whatever happened to emilia earhart
Who holds the stars up in the sky
Is true love once in a lifetime
Did the captain of the titanic cry

Chorus:
Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't meant for you

Does anybody know the way to atlantis
Or what the wind says when she cries
Im speeding by the place where I met you
For the 97th time tonight

(chorus)

Someday we'll know
Why samson loved delilah
One day I'll go
Dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know
That I was the one for you

I bought a ticket to the end of the rainbow
I watched the stars crash in the sea
If I could ask God just one question
Why arent you here with me?

(chorus)

Someday we'll know
Why sampson loved delilah
One day I'll goDancing on the moon
Someday you'll know
That I was the one for you

Somewhere and Someone out there

take a look before go to sleep...

Somewhere out there,
Beneath the pale moon night,

Someone's thinking of me,
And loving me tonight.

Somewhere out there,
Someone's saying a prayer,
That we'll find one another,
In that big somewhere out there.

And even though I know
how very far apart we are,
It helps to think we might be wishing
On the same bright star,
And when the night wind starts to sing
A lonesome lullaby,
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the
Same big sky.

Somewhere out there,
If love can see us through,
Then, we'll be together,
Somewhere out there,
out where dreams, come true.

A Man, A Plan, A Canal – Panama!

try to write this sentence backward, and all the letter will still be in the same order (without punctuations.)

the sentences or phrases that can be written like this are called "Palindrome".

it is said that the Panama palindrome was first appeared in 1948 or before.

CrazyTalk

I've just downloaded a program named "CrazyTalk".
It can be used to make any still image "talk" and it's very easy to use.

First ... I loaded my picture to the program (this one was taken at a sea trip)

Then I told the program where my mouse and my eyes are.

Then I spoke to the program or just load any speech files.

And it made an amazing lip-sync animation for me , and I tell you, it's did a very pretty good job!

you can export to many formats; web page, movie, gif, etc..

I really like this program 'cause it takes me just 5 minutes to learn and the output is very good!

5 stars!!

Your responsibility!

Birthday Matches

I'm reading a book "Math Wonders to inspire teachers and students"
There are many interesing facts about math such as this:

Let us suppose you have a class wit 35 students, what do you think the chances are of the two students having the same birth date?

It's not as low as our intuition make us think. It's about 80%!

The solution is:
The probability that one selected matches his own birth date is, of course, 1 (Or it can be written as 365/365)

The probability that another student does not match the first student is
(365-1)/365 = 364/365

The probability that the third student doses not match the firstand the first student is
(365-2)/365 = 363/365

The probaility of all 35 students not having the same birth date is:
p = (365/365)*(364/365)*(363/365)*...*(331/365)

So, our answer to the question is
q = 1-p
~0.814

:)

and if the number of the students is 60 the answer is 0.994!

Unbelievable, isn't it?

I

am sorry.

It is nice to walk
... to share
... to be teached
by ..you..

sorry for those stupid things,
but i am..?

only superficial things, shouldn't we care?

all about understanding?

Tired

My head starts spinning, my heart stops beating.

I'm so tired.

so tired.

Sufficiencyeconomy

VS kip-sate

... not so relevant :p
but..
well, last weekend, i went to amsterdam.
there is Thailand Grand Festival for
our King Celebration.

Lots of thai students gathering
from the everywhere in the netherlands
to help in this fest.

i was selling kip-sate (kai-sa-te),
it was so fun, so much people
queuing like it's free.
at the beginning we were complained
as the chicken is not so well-done,
either they were waiting for too long, etc.
but then it was ok.
(we bought another grill later) :D

and it was cool...

p.s. a little bit to get to know more about our king

Always:Sunset on Third Street

Just finished washing a movie: Always,Sunset on Third Street.

It's recomended!
I cried 3 or 4 times, not for sadness, but for the happiness and beauty of life.

It's a story of hope and life.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0488870

I'm back

I and some of my friends formed a band about 2 months ago.
We have not much time to practice since we're all now working people.

It's a strange band, 1 guitar, 2 singers, 1 bass, 2 drums.

1+2+1+2 = 5 people ... I play the drums and sing.

We play a bit old stuff we used to play when we're in college, from pop to heavy-trash metal and a bit hardcore.

In the first place we didn't want to have any show, just practicing for fun, but Mhoo, the guitarist told me today that we're going to have some kinda audition next week... in a Jazz pub.

I don't know if it's a good idea or not but we'll give that a try.

Some of the bands we covered:

  • Queen
  • Metallica
  • Rage against the machine
  • Limp Bizkit
  • Creed
  • the Red Hot Chilli Peppers
  • Lenny Kravitz
  • Extreme

and some other Thai bands like the Olarn Project.

--- A bit tired 'cause we're not teenage anymore, haha ---

My rights

Since when did we have to know so much about law just to buy a house, buy a car, using a service?

Does it mean, "Hey, I'll break every laws I can to make more money from you, stupid customer"?

I think if we have more proud in our work, such things won't happen.

I take proud in my work, of course, if some one find my application buggy, not easy to use, or anything, I should be unhappy. In this way I think I'll never think about doing quick and dirty things just to get the money.

I just hope that you all manufaturer, service provider, seller there would listen to me.

Marketing guiding

currently,
im working on market planning.
there are good basic principles...
1. expect change
and stay alert for opportunities, threats, new partners, rivals, customers.
trends always come and go without warning.
2. emphasize relationships
reinforce loyalty.
3. involve everyone
strengthen internal relationship,
all employees must be involved in marketing.
4. Seek alliances
work through network, mutual support.
ex. joint venture partners
5. Be innovative
Be different!
high-tech as well as high-touch.

hope you can find it useful a little..
:D

You're still the one

....

You know how much I love you, but I'll say it again.

I love you.

Happy our day.

....

pond sound

walk around my new house,
there's a pond, very nearby...
have you ever listen to it...

it's beautiful.

after my long long day,
so nice to be here :)

flamenco fiesta!

typical spanish folk dance,
originally from the southern part
but there's some shows in barcelona also :)
the music is called palos in spanish.

tab//tab//tab... the rhythmic feet

beautiful!

accompanied by a guitarist and a hand-clapper

dance together

Still in Spain (some episode in the middle)

a little pond near the train station

hey..wait for me mom!

a little more on Sagrada Familia :D

don't get bored, ^^
just a little more with
my neverending story
and neverending pictures,
on this endlessly construction.
that's the marble which is used to build some part.
there's many kinds of materials,
very interesting.

she's explaining about moment, how it is constructed.

the hyperboloid that used in design

Sagrada Familia Tour (episode 2)

the architects who continue work on it,
(this is the pic of pic again :P)

from outside.., how marvelous!!

full of little little details

The neverending building

my client is not in a hurry, said Antonio Gaudi.
this is such an extremely long construction
neverever finished...
~La Sagrada Lamilia~
it's really look like a cathedral but it's not.
some finished part, ..beautiful.. like the shape of the tree :)

my darvinci code

underconstruction, we can see how it is built, how they work hard on it.

outside the building, hungry ofcourse!

I'm also thingking...

that not everything is gonna be ok.....

someone said that there are two kinds of things in the world
, the ones that you can control
, and the ones you can't.

He also said that if he can ask God for one wish
, he'll wish he can tell the difference between the two.

Antoni Gaudi

Antoni Gaudí i Cornet,
a Catalan architect
of Modernisme.

instead of geometrics,
he put nature's angles and curves
into his designs.

the way trees grow,
the way humans stand upright.

hyperboloids,
paraboloids,
borrowed from the nature.

his first works were designed in gothic style
and traditional spanish..

his works such as,
his masterpiece~Sagrada Familia,
Park Guell
Casa Mila
and ecetera.

...to be continued..
:)
