I have a chance today, to visit my alumni's webboard <www.intania8x.com> (it's in Thai,)and see something in many topics they're talking about.

The posters are varying from generation 80 to 89. Yes, it's ten years or more age difference.Sometimes they talk about the SAME things but I don't think they're the same things at all. Just the words are the same... not the things they're dicussing.

That reminds me of some phrases I've heard ... about people in different generation with different views of the SAME things. I think sometimes it's not the views, but it's the SAME things, that are really different.

Aug 2, 2006 Orpheus

Orpheus was a musician, his music was filled with joy and happiness, for he was in love with Euridice, and she loved him in return. On the day of their wedding, he played his song as his bride danced through the meadow. Suddenly, she stepped on a snake and dead of its bite. Hermes gently closed her eyes with his wand and led her away to the Underworld.

No more songs came from Orpheus' throat, no more tunes rang out from his lyre. He lose all happiness in life. He had to bring her back!

Weeping and grieving, Orpheus wandered about searching for an entrance to Hades, Lord of the Underworld, and he found it when at the end of the world, he did what no living man had ever done before: went down to the realm of the dead to beg for the return of his beloved. Hoping that his music might move the cold heart of Hades, he walked down the dark, steep path, palying and singing.

His voice floated down and its magic move the iron gates of Hades. They sprang open and let him in, and Ceberus, the thre-headed watchdog, lay down at his feet and let him pass. The dark Underworld stilled and listened to his music. He sang about his great love, begged to have Euridice back.

Hades, the pitiless lord of the dead, sat on his black throne with Queen Persephone at his side. He was so moved by the music that tears rolled down his cheeks and cold Persephone sobbed. Her heart was so touched that she turned to Hades and begged him to let Euridice go. Hades gave Euridice a chance, with one condition: Orpheus must not look at his bride before they reached the realm of the living.


Orpheus was so glad, he started up the dark path, played his music. The way was long, and he began to doubt as he walked on and on. Had Hades deceived him? Were the sounds he heard behind him really Euridice's footsteps? He had almost reached the upper world and could see a light ahead, when he could bear his doubts no longer. He turn and saw she was really there, but for a moment, for again Hermes appeared at her side. Faintly, Orpheus heard her whisper farewell. He had lost her forever.

Super Busy

Busy + ness = Business

After one of my programmers left the company, we're losing balance.
I'm so tired, stressfull, losing weight (kidding).

Ha! Bring 'em on! That which doesn't kill me makes me stronger.

Last month we hit the sale target so from this month on everyone gets 2 addtional saturday holiday (except exceutives... including me, of course). They're all happy.

I'm not saying that I'm not happy, I'm just busy.

I'll come back tonight with something interesting.

Let's make something..cooooollldd ^ ^
...I found this, very easy... I think you will like it too :)

- -BANANA ICE CREAM- -
1 quart of cream
6 large bananas
1/2 pound of sugar
1 teaspoonful of vanilla

Put half the cream and all the sugar over the fire and stir, take from the fire, and, when perfectly cold,
add the remaining half of the cream.
Freeze the mixture, and add the bananas mashed or pressed through a colander. Put on the lid, adjust the crank, and turn until the mixture is frozen rather hard.

This quantity might serve ten persons (mayyybe...).

Echo was a nymph who talked all day so that Zeus(Lord of the Universe) once sent her to detain Hera (his wife) with idle chatter so long that Zeus, who really was there playing with the nymphs, was able to sneak away.

Hera was very angry. She took away Echo's ability to form her own words. From that day Echo could only repeat the words of others.

Pan, an ugly god who fell in love with Echo for so long, thought he could now talk to her and win her heart with his music and poetry (Pan tried many times but Echo just talked too much to listen to anything.) But before he had any chance, Echo had lost her heart to Narcissus.

Narcissus was so handsome that every girl and every nymph fell in love with him when they saw him. Unfortunately, he liked nobody but himself.

Echo followed Narcissus silently into the woods, hoping to hear any words from him that she could repeat. But he never noticed her. At last they came to a clear water pool, and Narcissus bent down to drink. He saw himself in the mirroring surface of the water.

"I love you," said Narcissus to the face he saw.
"I love you," repeated Echo eagerly. She stood behind him, happy to be able to speak to him.

But Narcissus neither saw nor heard her. He sat down there looking to himself, smiling, forgetting to eat, forgetting to drink, forgetting to go to the toilet, forgetting to pay tax...ok, whatever..... he died there smiling.

Hermes came and bring him to the Underworld, but where he had been sitting the lovely Narcissus (Daffodill) flower sprang up. Echo stood beside the flower until she too died.

















Nothing was left of Echo but her voice.

On such days Bee finds her doors
all locked and goes away disappointed.
Do you know why she notches her
leaves in that odd way she has? It
is so the sunbeams can fall on every

Do you know why dandelion’s
stem will curl when you split it?
Because the outside skin of the
stem “pulls” one way and the inside
skin pulls another way.

These stem coverings are like the leaf
coverings — waterproof.

I have read the article that in Thailand biodiesel is becoming well-known as well...as oil prices is substantially increasing nowsaday...

we produce it from palm-oil as we are the third biggest palm-producing country in the world...

How nice! if we can grow oil by ourselves as we are the agricultural country,...reduce import oils and also strenghten rural economies....
and help the environment at the same time...

but...it still need a lot more work to be done...
we have raw materials and demands...
but the production process is a big piece missing...

If you are blowing into a straw in a glass of water, it will change the pH of the water. It's basically undeniable.

The same way as the increasing level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is making the world's ocean more acidic which could decimate coral reefs and animals. For decades that we viewed the oceans' absorption of greenhouse gas as an environmental plus because it reduces the effects of global warming. But by taking too much and.....if the situation continue like this, it's time to say goodbye to our coral reefs and marine livings.

hihi~
i just finished working...my new job is a chef's assistant, haha...
i cut so much thingsss today, chop chop chop peel peel peel..
my first job is cutting a big bucket of onions, i cried a lot but everythings still ok :)
.....
this is because i got to know a thai friend, p'kwang, and she owns a thai restaurant here. so i went there to help her (not sure it's helping or making it worse), actually in thai we call " working exchange with rice" hihi~~, coz i just went there and have dinner and then work a little bit.
actually cooking is not my favourite job but today it was fun, also i'm so proud to see fa-rang enjoy thai food a lot...

and i realize that making thai food has a lot of little little techniques, it's easy to cook it but it's not easy to make it good...good taste and also good looking is really important, making it so charming and becoming popular among the real eaters from all over the world.

because i couldn't find the fun in watching these games..

anyway, one thing i like is when the people from the same country 're gathering together to cheer their teams. Here, it's soo orange everywhere now. and when holland plays, it's so quiet on the street, people stay and watch the match. Cheer and proud of their nations.

Biomass on earth

Biofuel is any fuel that derives from biomass. the production of biofuels to replace oil and natural gas is in active development, focusing on the use of cheap organic matter (usually crops, rape seeds, potatos, agricultural residues and manure from cows)...

Environmental benefits:
Biodiesel reduces emissions of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide on a net lifecycle basis because the carbon in biodiesel emissions is recycled from carbon that was already in the atmosphere, rather than being new carbon from petroleum. The greenhouse effect therefore reduces. Also, biodiesel reduces the emission of particulates. This reduces cancer risks. Moreover, biodiesel is biodegradable and non-toxic, biodiesel is less toxic than table salt and biodegrades as quickly as sugar.

Another reason is to increase farm incomes and strenghen rural economies by using the organic products.

Now, i'm studying this kind of stuffs...find the way to develop this market, and try to find out the good reasons why people should use biofuel instead of petroleum.

We arrived Oia around 6 pm. we walked around waiting to see the sun which will be come down around 8.30 pm. There's quite nice here. we enjoyed taking so much pics. ...

Next day, we went to the volcano and hot spring. We took a boat for around 20 minutes..

The explanation of the trip

we enjoyed hot spring, but actually it's cold spring!....soo cold, it's around 29 degree, i don't know why it's not hot at all. there's full of mud underneath, some say it's good for skin but i'm not pretty sure.

On the top of the volcanic, i'm so tired...damn hot in here, i'm burning like a chicken. there's some lava still, the guide said it's around 94 degree that we can touch and we can really feel how powerful is it!

My friends, the boat we took and the scenery. I can still feel the heat from here.

The way to go up, some moment i felt like i'm lost in a desert. ..feeling hot hot hot..

White church everywhere, greek people are quite religious. Also,they have some radar to know where the churchs is. they usually stop nearby and pray(amen).

A greek cat, actually before I came here I expected a lot of cats. But there're not so much as I thought (but it's good for me anyway).

We love our king!

Our King Bhumibol 's 60th year anniversary on the throne's today, as the world's longest-reigning monarch. In Thailand, we have a big celebration and a long vacation June 9-13.

I don't know much what happen and how they're celebrated there..
Just to say, I love my King ..as well!

Next stop...Fira.

Fira is like the centre of this Islands. It's like a town with lots of shops and very good view on the top of the hill. Actually, our plan was to go to the white beach first, but the boat to go there didn't work on that day. So we're heading to Fira instead.

The scenery is so wonderful! White houses with blue windows and blue doors are very typical. We can see how beautiful of the Aegean sea and how marvellous that the natural has built.

greek story season II,...somewhere beyond the sea.

let's continue the trip in greek (before i forgot)..hihi~,

finally we got in to the ferry to Santorini...Whooo.o.oo.. First day, we stayed at perissa beach, swim swim swim... and then sleep and swim again, the sand here is quite black (that's why it's called "black beach", also there're some little fish swim around together with us. .......and then we eat and sleep again and walk along the beach. ....quite nice huhu..

Our first dinner is also on the beach. we had greek salad, mousaka, sword fish, beef and lamb steak. After that, we got to a bar nearby and had some typical dessert which is sooo sweet and i forgot the name.

finally ...i'm gonna workkk!

These days i'm quite busy with preparing and reading a lot of stuffs. Next week i'll start my internship with a company, KNN millieu, in groningen. I'm quite excited, don't know how it gonna be, working with all dutch people in a real company here.

My topic is about renewable energy market development focusing in biomass. finally, i found out that i really love to work in the environmental things although now i'm in the business field. i have tried to corporate both of these things together. and hmm,...this weekend i have to study a lot of things...

Jun 5, 2006 Nafplio

We had one more day on the mainland. So we planned to go to Nafplio, the old town along the seaside, 2 hours from Athens. ..quite nice, the style of houses, bright color with the blue sky contrasting with the red flower(I know only thai name "feung-fha"). Feeling so fresh...taking a lot of deep breath, feel the seawind passing through our body.

The greek-gang, they're cycling to see who is the fastest. The small greek girl in the red shirt always slower, but she never gives up.

We walked around for a while and ended up in a cafe in a square. Sitting and seeing greek and non-greek walking along the lovely street.

My lunch again, Gyros chicken.

The fisherman, he got some fish for his dinner. we met him at the end of the beach, feeling so peaceful in here.

The fortress close to Nafplio harbour, called Bourdzi. Part of the fortress were later employed as a prison.

Run forest ...Run

Actually, our plan is to go to Santorini on the second night. but...but, the boat don't really like us. ...we got to the pireaus(the port) quite late, we bought the tickets and had around 10 minutes to run to the gate. we run really.. like run for life to catch the boat, after we ran for 5 minutes we realized that the gate is damn far away, we catched a cab in the port....trying to make it.

...When we arrived it's 10.02 pm. really, exactly 2 minutes late and the boat just gone. we said goodbye to the boat and looked at each others, ...why..why whyy :( ..normally greek are not so punctual like this..but ........

well, no doubt, that night we stucked in the pireaus. we had to spend one more night around Athens. ...we found a small hotel near the pireaus, 3 people for 50 euro(bargaining from 60), the room is quite nice making us feel a little better after a nightmare. Trying to be optimistic that at least we can have a good shower and good bed instead of sleeping on the boat....
(even actually I prefer boat....) ..I felt asleep almost suddenly, GoOdNiGhT!

Speaking Greek!

We designed to learn a bit important greek words before we go there coz we though that they don't speak english so much. ... but actually greek people can speak very good english. and it's good for us.

well, ...anyway, knowing some greek is also good for us too...let's learn a bit...

Jun 4, 2006 Reaching Greece

hihi~, haven't updated blog for a long time :D ...Last week I've been to Greece, visiting Acropolis, feeling the atmosphere of Myth, the origin of Olympics and the volcanic islands, Santorini, the land of white and blue.


Around 35 degree celcius in Athens, I arrived this city wearing 2 T shirts, 2 pair of socks with a rather thick jacket, have to take off almost everything. Soooo hot...phuuuew.. First, we had to find an accommodation. Our lives were depending on a little book, lonely planet. We got to the centre by Metro, quite fast and convenient. Walking for a while to reach a youth hostel. We leaved our luggages and got ready to go out! again. This night we stayed near the centre of Athens. The city has a lot of hills, we always walk up and down and up and down again. There're many orange trees along the street everywhere. The shops open till very late and we can find the street food everywhere. Although, there're lot of traffic but I like this kind lifestyle, making me feel like home, like when I was in Thailand. ... First night we walked around shopping area, Syntagma and Plaka which is full of souvenir shops and restaurants.

Our first meals here, ofcourse gyros and souvaki pita. This food are selling everywhere, making from pork or chicken or lamb inside and eat with pita bread and vegetable. They're quite nice. We walk around. The street's quite crowded, maybe it's saturday night. Greek people really like to enjoy nightlife. There's so much people outside at night. After walking for a while, we're hungry again, we finished the first night in a creperia. My crepe with ham cheese and mushroom is quite delicious. And then we catch the cab back to our hostel. The taxi here is not so expensive comparing to the other places in Europe, however for me, it's still expensive anyway.

Next day, we went to monasteraki market, it's a flea market open only on sunday morning. Looking around for a while. After that we went to the Acropolis, the most important creation of the ancient Greek architecture and the splendid temples.

The Parthenon, the symbol of perfection of the golden age of Greek. This temple was dedicated to the goddess Athena, the Pathoness of Athens. We walked around, seeing the Propylaea, the monumental gate, the temple of wingless victory (Nike). Actually, I don't know much about the history of greek, stuffs like this but when I have seen the great construction made by people since many thousands years ago in the ancient time, I can feel how great of the human civilisation and how much endeavour of them. I also wonder ..how's our earth's gonna be in the next thousand year in the future! how life is it...
